Digitizing our records by the imaging process makes our records more accessible, protects the records from aging, and makes them much faster to produce. The imaging process takes vital records that are on paper and puts them into electronic format. This format allows for a much quicker and easier search of records.
We currently have births imaged back to 1930, deaths back to 1950, and marriages back to 1958. The Clerk's goal objective is to image back 3-5 years and to make this objective a yearly projection, allowing us our goal of completing the imaging of our older records.
