Sherri A. Sayles
Chief Deputy Clerk
Sherri A. Sayles is the Chief Deputy Clerk. She has worked at the Clerk's Office since 1988. She
oversees all aspects of the Clerk's Office including Circuit Court Records, Vital Records and
Elections. The County Clerk, along with the Chief Deputy Clerk, are implementing new technology
and procedures in an effort to more efficiently serve the citizens of Ottawa County.
Lori Catalino
Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk
Lori Catalino is the Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk. She has worked at the Clerk's Office
since 2007. Her main duties pertain to the Circuit Court Records area which includes
maintaining all civil, criminal and domestic relations cases filed in Circuit Court. It
also includes the Juvenile/Family Court Division which is located in West Olive. She
supervises employees at both locations.
Justin Roebuck
Elections Coordinator
Justin Roebuck joined the County Clerk’s staff in February of 2009. As Elections Coordinator,
he oversees and maintains the permanent records of election results for all county-wide elections,
special elections and school district elections. The Election Coordinator’s office develops the
ballot for each election and maintains election equipment for each precinct and every local
jurisdiction in Ottawa County. Justin also assists local clerks and citizens in interpreting
Michigan Election Law and Campaign Finance Law according to state statutes.
Margaret R. Underwood
Vital Records Supervisor
Margaret Underwood is the supervisor of the Vital records section of the County Clerk's
Office. She oversees the daily operation of the Vital Records area which includes filing
and issuing birth, death and marriage records, concealed weapons permits, notary
appointments, genealogy, assumed names of businesses, and passports.
