Weatherization
This program is designed to increase the energy efficiency of homes and thereby, reduce energy usage. Licensed contractors insulate attic, wall and floor areas, install weather stripping, caulk windows, and make minor home repairs related to weatherization. Homes will feel more comfortable and help keep your family healthy.
Home Owner Rehabilitation
The Home Rehab program may be what is needed to fix your home's leaky roof, rusty pipes, and many other repairs that demand attention. This program is designed to help with improvements necessary to meet HUD's Housing Quality Standards, make energy improvements, make handicap accessibility improvements, and complete other approved home remodeling.
Home Purchase with Rehabilitation
The HPR program assists families with the purchase and rehabilitation of a single-family home. Up to $10,000 may be available for down payment, prepaid expenses, and reasonable closing costs.
Home Ownership Services
Services include pre-purchase counseling, home inspections, home maintenance training, and assistance with applying for mortgages.
Property Improvement Program (PIP)
The Property Improvement Program is an installment loan program for homeowner rehabilitation. Community Action Agency assist homeowners in securing the necessary documents to complete the application for the PIP loan, which is administered by a local bank. Home improvements include aesthetic improvements and remodeling as well as improvements for health and safety reasons.
