Prepare

Although the health department is planning for public health emergencies like a pandemic flu it is also important for you to plan and prepare. Your family's health and well-being may depend on it. You should consider how you would contact one another during emergencies. It's also a good idea to keep some essential supplies on hand for emergencies. This could include drinking water, dry or canned food, a first aid kit, a battery powered radio, a flashlight and several days of supplies for family members with special needs.

The following downloadable guides will help you and your family prepare for emergencies. The guides are also available individually or in quantities for your community group by calling (616) 494-5597.
