The soon-to-be Housing Advisory Board carried out an expedited strategic planning process in January and February 2026 that resulted in the following 2026 Action Plan.
Starting in early January, staff prepared and distributed a brief survey that served to both educate respondents and seek their feedback on housing priorities for the community. The survey was open for two weeks and the findings were presented to the Board for their February meeting. During that meeting and utilizing the survey data, board members were lead through a guided brainstorming session by DSI staff to identify their priorities.
Following the meeting, staff compiled the OCHC priorities and developed a concise document that clarifies the board’s self-described role, mission, vision, and four primary goals and related objectives to accomplish over the coming years. The board approved the Action Plan at their March 9, 2026. meeting.
