Small-Footprint Home Development Concept
Home Concepts: Designed in Ottawa County for Ottawa County
Ranging from a cozy 440 square feet to a roomy 1,056 square feet, these four home plans are available free for public use. They were custom designed by Holland-based consultant Nick Rolinski and Hope College student and DSI staff intern Matt Daub with the support and feedback of the Ottawa County Housing Advisory Board, DSI, and local builders, planners, building inspectors, Realtors and other officials.
Each design features four different exterior styles – In-Town, Lake/Dune, Rural/Farm, and Rural/Forest. These swappable “skins” have been designed with Ottawa County communities in mind, ensuring they fit in seamlessly. Additionally, these home plans include suggested materials to provide individuals and builders a guiding framework for construction.
