Mission Statement
The mission of those serving Park Township on behalf of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is to preserve public order, support the constitution of the State of Michigan, and enforce the laws and ordinances of our state, county, and township.
General Information
For the past 30 years, Park Township has partnered with Holland Township and with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office to supplement the basic road patrol services provided by the Sheriff’s Office. These added deputies and supervisors are funded with a township millage and provide for E-Unit (Paramedic/Police First Responders) and Community Policing Deputies that service Park Township.
The local branch office (work station) for the Sheriff’s Office is located in the rear of the Holland Charter Township Fire Station located at 12640 James Street in Holland. The office is not staffed on a 24 hour basis, and those needing law enforcement services are asked to call Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 911 (Emergency) or the non-emergency telephone number of (800) 249-0911 to have a deputy dispatched to your location. Park Township Hall is located at 52 N 152nd Ave in Holland.
Community Policing
The community policing unit focuses on resolving crime through proactive law enforcement initiatives by providing neighborhood crime prevention strategies, traffic control enforcement and education, ordinance enforcement, school resource deputies and programs, business contacts and training, and public assistance services.
Fireworks
Park Township has enacted an ordinance that regulates the ignition, discharge, and use of consumer fireworks. The use of consumer fireworks is only permitted on the day preceding, the day of, and the day after a national holiday. Consumer fireworks may not be discharged during the hours of 1:00am and 8:00am. Please refer to the township fireworks ordinance for a complete list of the rules and regulations pertaining to the use of consumer fireworks in Park Township.

Home Security Checks
Ottawa County community police officers offer free vacation security checks for residents away from their homes, businesses, or facilities. Deputies will periodically check the exterior of the property to deter burglars and enhance security while the property is unoccupied.

Business Emergency Notification Form
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office works along side Ottawa County Central Dispatch to maintain an informative contact list for local businesses. This contact list is used in the event that business owners or managers should be contacted during non-business hours.
