- Other High-Volume Traffic Events
The Traffic Team receives regular training to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and event participants. In addition to traffic direction, they are trained in radio communication, CPR, and other skills needed to render immediate assistance in incidents that may arise during an event. They are also issued the equipment necessary for safe and effective operation, including reflective vests, lighted wands, traffic cones, and radios.
This team of volunteers serves under the oversight of Ottawa County Emergency Management, maintaining high standards of operation and coordination with other volunteer and professional public safety organizations.
