The Ottawa County Economic Development Corporation and Ottawa County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority are responsible for alleviating and preventing conditions of unemployment and to assist and retain local industries and commercial enterprises in Ottawa County. This board is authorized by state statute Act 338 and the Authority is authorized by state statute Act 381. It is comprised of 10 members that are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. Members of this board serve 6-year terms, and meet bi-monthly, as needed at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street complex.
