The Ottawa County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee is the principle economic development strategy group for the area known as Region 8. This committee is a sub-committee of the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission, as authorized by the Michigan Regional Planning Act (P.A. 281 of 1945, as amended). It is comprised of 2 members that are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. Members of this board serve 1-year terms, and meet quarterly at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street complex.
