Emergency Operations Center
The Ottawa County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) provides a single, recognizable focal point for emergency or disaster management. Requests for assistance can be made to a single location where key officials can meet, assess the situation, make decisions, coordinate activities, set priorities, and manage resources.
During a disaster, the EOC would be activated, and representatives from Emergency Management and other disciplines, such as fire services, hospitals, and others, would assemble there. Workstations and communications equipment would be available, and continuous contact would be maintained with those responding to the disaster scene.
